Milestones

No sign of a crisis. In January, Organize Communications expands to Switzerland. Nadja Öhrlein, who has been with the agency since 1999, assumes control of the Zurich office. The work there begins with PR and B2B activities for the new office of the German Wine Institute DWI (Deutsches Weininstitut, DWI, Mainz) in Switzerland. In addition, she coordinates B2B activities in the field of gastronomy for the second new client, Nespresso.

At the beginning of the year, Roland Zadra, president of Romantik Hotels & Restaurants, is announced as “Hotelier of the year”. The Department of Food and the Rural Area, Baden-Württemberg (Ministerium für Ernährung und ländlichen Raum, Baden-Württemberg) commissions Organize to arrange a gala with the prime minister of Baden-Württemberg, Günther Oettinger, as part of the third “Artvinum Baden-Württemberg” symposium. During the two-day event, held in April, a judging panel chooses the German state’s best red and white wines.

The agency is responsible for part of the program organization and looking after guests for the DWI’s Sommelier Spring Class for international sommeliers. After successfully participating in the “Best of Riesling” wine competition, the agency is commissioned to create a Pinot Noir equivalent by the Department of Commerce, Traffic, Agriculture, and Winegrowing, Rheinland-Palatinate (Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Verkehr, Landwirtschaft und Weinbau, Rheinland-Pfalz).

Romantik Hotels & Restaurants publish the new "Wedding & more” brochure that describes special ways of spending romantic time together. It is designed by the indulgence professionals in Karlsruhe. And savory pleasures are also addressed: The Italian Trade Commission (ICE), based in Dusseldorf, hires Organize to arrange promotional activities throughout Munich’s top gastronomic businesses that will make people hungry for Italian ham and sausage specialties.
